Object Body is a glimpse into the long-standing collaboration between artist Margaret Flatley and sculptor Yasmin Bawa. Through playful juxtaposition Margaret’s photographs document the emotionality of the relationship between body and object. Interested in the lived experience of being embodied, Margaret asks how the physical body accentuates, encapsulates and betrays the emotional Self. Yasmin’s sculptural hempcrete pieces encourage a relationship with the user, promoting communication through shared routines, habits and intimate moments. This series of photographs sets the user and object as equal entities, blurring the line between the animate human body and the inanimate sculptural object.
