Studio Kër explores the relationship between object, identity, and place. Founded by Michael Bennett, the practice draws from African American and diasporic histories to create furniture and sculptural works that examine memory, community, and the cultural narratives embedded within the built environment.

Materia Studio partnered with Studio Kër to articulate the ideas and perspectives informing the practice through narrative development and digital experience design. The resulting platform creates space for the work to be understood not only as furniture, but as part of a broader cultural conversation around heritage, belonging, and contemporary design.
