Eliot Caldwell Studio is a working extension of a life that began before her, in a schoolhouse in a town of less than 400 people in New Mexico, where her great grandmother would go from student to resident. Las Tuzas is the name of Eliot’s family ranch; a singular place where the connection to New Mexico, her Texas homeland, her Spanish heritage, and the influence of Mexican culture are physically unified and create a space of history and creativity. MATERIA created a brand and visual and verbal identity for Eliot Caldwell Studio authentically connected to her personal story and family heritage. Her first collection was captured through photography and video on location in MATERIA Studio. We then strategized her Instagram, developed the creative content and social media design. And finally launched her brand with a custom e-commerce website.
Creative direction by Sarah Len, graphic and web design by Héctor Ramirez, web development by Federico Salort, instagram templates by Erika Claitte, copywriting by Ana Velasco, video and photography by Carlos Manuel, and production by Carolina Pimenta.

Materia Studio produced and directed a short film about Mexican architect and environmentalist, Alberto Kalach. Kalach challenges our collective values and how they translate into the way we live. For him, true luxury lies not in the excesses of scale and materials so commonplace today, but in the seamless integration of architecture and nature. We met the architect at his home in San Miguel Chapultepec dating from the 1930's for a special interview about his home and his latest project with Grupo Habita, Hotel Terrestre in Puerto Escondido, Mexico. The film shot by Natasha Garoosi and Magaly Ugarte de Pablo documented the creative practice that stems from a profound understanding of the sites, allowing his architecture to become fully integrated with nature in an unobstructed way.
